DevRunners ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our website.
There is no sign-up, no account, and no contact form on this site. The only two things you can send us from the website itself are a correction through the Console Region Checker, described in section 3, and a notification subscription on the Free Games Tracker, described in section 4. If you email us, we have whatever you chose to put in the email.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are read and how quickly they load. Cloudflare adds a small script to each page that reports the page address, the referring site, your browser type and page-speed timings back to this domain. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and Cloudflare states that it does not fingerprint visitors by IP address, browser or any other data. The reports we see are totals, not individual visits.
Some blog posts include animated GIFs hosted by GIPHY. Your browser loads the image directly from GIPHY's servers when you open one of those posts, which means GIPHY receives your IP address, your browser and device details, and the address of the page you are reading. That happens on page load rather than on a click, and we do not control it. We checked directly, and GIPHY sets no cookies when a GIF loads — we requested three of the GIFs actually embedded here and no Set-Cookie header came back from any of them. So this is a question of GIPHY receiving a request, not of anything being stored on your device. What we could not confirm is what GIPHY subsequently does with that request, because their privacy policy is not retrievable — see section 12. A post with no GIF makes no request to them at all.
Everything else the site loads comes from our own domain. Fonts are self-hosted rather than fetched from Google, and icons are bundled into the site rather than pulled from an icon CDN, so neither causes a request to a third party.

We do not store your IP address, a cookie, or any other persistent identifier alongside a report. A report cannot be traced back to you by us. Please don't put personal information in the comment field — we don't need it and we don't want it.
The report form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell humans from bots. To do that, Cloudflare processes your IP address and signals about your browser. Cloudflare acts as our processor for this. See Cloudflare Turnstile and the Cloudflare privacy policy.
To stop one person flooding the form, we hold a temporary salted hash of your IP address for one hour, then it is deleted automatically. It is only ever used to count submissions, it is never stored with your report, and it is not written to the reports database at all.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interest: preventing abuse of the form, and keeping the information we publish accurate. Reports are read by a person during a periodic review — they never change the site automatically. Reports are deleted 12 months after they are reviewed.
The Free Games Tracker can send a browser notification when a new free game matches the filters you pick. It is off until you turn it on. If you do, we store:
We do not store your name, email address, an account, your IP address, or any information about your device. The subscription identifies a browser to its push service, not a person to us.
We don't send notifications to your device directly. We hand them to your browser vendor's push service, which delivers them — for example Google for Chrome, Mozilla for Firefox, or Apple for Safari. Which one is decided by your browser, not by us, and the endpoint URL identifies it. The contents of each notification are encrypted with your subscription's keys before they leave us, so the push service can see that a message was sent to your browser, but it cannot read it. The push service operates under its own privacy policy, not as our processor.
Our lawful basis is consent: you turn notifications on yourself, and your browser asks you to grant its notification permission before anything is stored.
We keep the subscription until you unsubscribe, and delete it when you do. If you revoke the permission instead, clear this site's data, or the subscription expires, your browser's push service starts rejecting deliveries to it as gone — we delete the subscription the first time that happens, which is the next time a new game matches your filters. The record of which notifications were sent to you is deleted with it.
Use Turn off notifications on the Free Games Tracker, or revoke this site's notification permission in your browser's settings. Either one stops notifications on that browser.

If you turn on Free Games Tracker notifications, they are delivered through your browser vendor's push service. That service is chosen by your browser, not by us, and it is not our processor — see section 4.1. It receives notifications encrypted, and cannot read them.
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law. Reader reports are deleted 12 months after review, and the temporary rate-limiting hash described in section 3 is deleted after one hour. A notification subscription is kept until you unsubscribe, or until your browser's push service reports it gone, as described in section 4.2.

This website does not use cookies. We do not set any cookies for analytics, tracking, or marketing purposes. However, Cloudflare may set minimal technical cookies necessary for security and performance, which are considered essential for the website to function.
We use browser local storage to remember your theme preference (light/dark mode). This stores only your display preference locally on your device (key: nuxt-color-mode) and does not collect or transmit any personal data. This is considered functional storage under GDPR and does not require consent as it serves your legitimate interest in maintaining your preferred display settings.
If you turn on Free Games Tracker notifications, your browser also registers a small service worker from this site — the script that receives a notification and displays it. It is only registered when you ask for notifications, it sets no cookies and caches nothing, and it is removed again when you turn notifications off.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Your data may be transferred to and processed outside the European Economic Area. For Cloudflare, who host this site and provide Turnstile, their privacy policy states they store information primarily in the United States and the EEA, and that they rely on their certifications under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, with standard contractual clauses as a fallback. For GIPHY, whose GIFs some posts embed, we could not retrieve their current privacy policy, so we are not going to state a mechanism we have not verified. The practical position is that a post without a GIF makes no request to them at all.
If you turn on notifications, your browser's push service may also be outside the EEA. It is your browser vendor's service rather than one we chose, so its transfer terms are in that vendor's privacy policy, and the notification contents it carries are encrypted so it cannot read them.

Some of those are affiliate links, which pass through a short /r/ address on this site before sending you on. Clicking one takes you to a third-party site that sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy; this site sets no cookies of its own in the process. Our services are not directed to individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
