Overview
With most of the old Bally / FanDuel Sports Network channels gone, DAZN has become the place to stream a lot of US local teams. As of 12 October 2026, 19 teams stream inside the DAZN app: 11 NBA, 6 NHL, the Yankees and the Mystics.
A team subscription is sold against a map. You get your team's local games, as long as you're inside its broadcast territory. You don't get the national games. And if you leave the territory, you get 30 days.
This guide covers which teams are on DAZN, what they cost, what's missing from a team pass, what the territory and travel rules actually say, and what to do if you're outside the US.
Who this guide is for
Fans whose team moved to DAZN this season, fans living just outside their team's market, and anyone travelling or living abroad who wants to keep watching.
Key Takeaways
- 19 teams stream inside the DAZN app for 2026-27. Five NBA teams (Pacers, Timberwolves, Cavaliers, Spurs, Grizzlies) are DAZN-exclusive local homes. The rest pair DAZN with a TV channel (MSG, YES, Monumental, ABTV, or free over-the-air TV).
- The "30+ teams" figure you may have seen counts ViewLift clients. DAZN owns ViewLift, the company behind apps like CHSN and NESN 360, but those teams stream in their own apps, not DAZN.
- Most NBA team passes cost $19.99 a month or $119.99 a season (Ultimate: $24.99 / $139.99), checked 12 October 2026. MSG+ (Knicks, Rangers, Islanders, Devils, Sabres) and YES (Nets, Yankees) are priced differently.
- National games aren't included. Games exclusive to ABC, ESPN, NBC, Peacock or Prime Video stay there. Expect to lose roughly 7 to 17 of 82 NBA games.
- The 30-day rule: the Pacers' own FAQ says you can keep watching "while temporarily traveling outside the Pacers home television territory for up to 30 days."
- Outside the US, a US team pass isn't the answer. DAZN's terms limit the service mainly to the country where you set up your account, and its help centre says it does "not support the use of VPNs." Buy the league's international pass instead.

- Prices checked 12 October 2026. Verify at checkout. "—" means none is documented.
- Reported: from press coverage; no official team or DAZN page confirms it yet.
- Prices change; DAZN says more promotions are coming. MSG+ season prices differ between official sources ($249.99 on the Sabres' page, $279.99 on DAZN's Knicks and Rangers pages), so the table says "check checkout".
The 19 teams fall into four groups:
- DAZN exclusive (NBA): Pacers, Timberwolves, Cavaliers, Spurs, Grizzlies. DAZN is the only place to watch their local games.
- DAZN plus free over-the-air TV (NBA): Hornets, Pistons, Magic. Some games are also on a local broadcast channel (the kind you can pick up with an antenna); DAZN is the exclusive stream.
- A network sold through DAZN: MSG+ (Knicks, Rangers, Islanders, Devils, Sabres), YES (Nets, and the Yankees from the 2027 season), and Monumental+ (Wizards, Capitals, and the Mystics from the 2027 WNBA season). The cable channels carry on; DAZN replaces the old Gotham Sports app for MSG and YES.
- DAZN plus a cable channel (NHL): the Kings, alongside Angels Broadcast Television (ABTV).

What a DAZN team pass costs
Prices checked 12 October 2026. Verify at checkout; DAZN says more promotions are coming.
Most NBA teams share one price list, confirmed on the Pacers' official page:
Monthly Flex
$19.99/month
2 streams / 1 IP address
Monthly Flex Ultimate Multiview
$24.99/month
5 streams / 2 IP addresses, plus multiview
Season Pass
$119.99
2 streams / 1 IP address
Season Pass Ultimate Multiview
$139.99
5 streams / 2 IP addresses, plus multiview
Free trial: 7 days. An IP address is, roughly, the internet connection you're streaming from; multiview means watching more than one game on the same screen.
Single-game purchases are documented only for MSG+ ($9.99 Game/Day Pass) and YES ($12.99 Day Pass). For the NBA-only team passes, no single-game option is documented.
MSG+ pricing is where sources disagree. The Sabres' official page lists a launch offer of $19.99 for the first month, then $29.99 a month, $249.99 a year or $9.99 a game, while DAZN's Knicks and Rangers pages show $279.99 for the season. Check the checkout for your team before you pay.
If your cable or satellite package includes MSG, YES or ABTV, you may be able to sign into DAZN with your TV provider for free.
What a team pass doesn't include
Every team pass leaves out the national games: the ones a nationwide broadcaster holds for the whole country. The Pacers' FAQ is typical: games "exclusively broadcast by ABC, ESPN, NBC, Peacock or Prime Video will not be available on DAZN." Non-exclusive national games (such as some on NBA TV) can still show up on DAZN.
How many games that costs you depends on the team. DAZN's listings give the Grizzlies 78 games, the Pacers 71, the Cavaliers 70 and the Knicks 65, out of 82. National flex picks (games a national network moves onto its schedule mid-season) can change those numbers during the season.
For NHL teams the gaps are national TNT, ESPN and ESPN+ games. The Kings, for example, lose 12 (reported).
If you want the national games too, you'll need the services that carry them. Peacock's NBA games, for instance, are covered in our Peacock availability guide.
What "local territory" means, and how DAZN decides you're in it
A team's territory is wider than its city and narrower than the country. DAZN sells each team across its full broadcast footprint, including the "outer" markets. Cavaliers fans in Columbus, Cincinnati or Pittsburgh count.
Some official definitions:
| Team | Territory |
|---|---|
| Pacers | Indiana, Kentucky, Iowa, Illinois and Missouri |
| Hornets | North Carolina and South Carolina |
| Kings | Southern California and Hawaii |
| Spurs | Central, South and West Texas From the team's announcement, as reported |
| Sabres | Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, among other markets |
| Wizards, Capitals (Monumental) | South of Richmond, Virginia, to as far north as Delaware |
How DAZN checks your location isn't documented
Team pages ask you to enter your ZIP code to confirm you're in the territory, and signup reportedly asks for a "broadcast ZIP code." DAZN also limits plans by IP address (1 or 2, depending on the plan). But no DAZN page says whether the territory check uses your ZIP code, your billing address or your live IP location.
Use the ZIP checker on your team's page before you subscribe.
The 30-day travel rule
The Pacers' official FAQ is the clearest source:
"Fans with a Pacers on DAZN subscription can continue to access Pacers games while temporarily traveling outside the Pacers home television territory for up to 30 days."
Coverage of DAZN's 7 October launch event reported the same rule for every team plan, worded as "30 days of access for subscribers traveling outside the local territory within the U.S." (reported).
What isn't documented:
- whether the 30 days reset each season or each billing period
- how the days are counted
- whether it applies outside the US. Based on DAZN's terms (see the abroad section below), assume it doesn't.

On the court, travelling gets whistled. On DAZN, you get 30 days of it. via GIPHY

Out of market inside the US
If you live outside your team's territory, a DAZN team pass isn't the product for you. The Pacers send out-of-territory fans to NBA League Pass; the Sabres point NHL fans to ESPN+. On those services, your local team's games are blacked out (not shown live) in its home territory, the mirror image of DAZN's rule.
Using a VPN to look like you're inside a team's territory breaks DAZN's policy: its help centre says using VPNs "to bypass location-based restrictions violates these agreements." It can also cost you the subscription. That's the policy; we can't say how often DAZN enforces it beyond blocking the stream.
Watching your team from outside the US
DAZN Terms and Conditions of Use, version 17 July 2026, and the DAZN Help Centre, read 12 October 2026.
DAZN's terms (section 2.7) say you can use the service "primarily in the country in which you have established your DAZN account." Elsewhere, "you may be entitled to view only a limited amount of Content which may vary on a territory-by-territory basis." Full portability is guaranteed only inside the EEA (the EU plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway). Its help centre says it does "not support the use of VPNs."
So a US team pass is a US product. Abroad, expect it to be blocked or limited. Buying one from outside the US runs into the signup ZIP code and a US payment method; there's no documented way around that, and a VPN breaks DAZN's policy. (Why foreign cards fail on US services is the same story we cover for game stores.)
What works instead is the league's international pass:
- NBA: NBA League Pass sells in many countries outside the US. Its support page says "blackouts and restrictions apply in the US and Canada," so abroad you typically get your team's games live. It "is not available in all countries"; check it for yours.
- NHL: outside the US and Canada, NHL.TV is sold by DAZN itself in nearly 200 countries, with every game of the 2026-27 season. Live games are blacked out in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the UK, where they're available as full replays instead.
- MLB (Yankees): not covered here. Check MLB.TV's international availability.
For the general picture of why sports streams break abroad, see our sports streaming abroad guide. For a longer list of what stops working when you leave the US, see apps blocked abroad.

Which option fits you
| Your situation | What to buy | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| You live inside your team's territory | The DAZN team pass (or sign in with your MSG/YES/ABTV TV package if you have one) | National games aren't included |
| You're travelling elsewhere in the US | Keep your DAZN pass | Access outside the territory lasts up to 30 days |
| You live in the US but outside the territory | NBA League Pass (NBA) or ESPN+ (NHL) | Using a VPN to look in-territory breaks DAZN's policy |
| You're abroad, short trip | Check whether the league's international pass is sold where you're going | A US DAZN pass may be blocked or limited abroad |
| You live abroad | NBA League Pass in your country, or NHL.TV from DAZN outside the US and Canada | NHL.TV live games are blacked out in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the UK |

Final Thoughts
If you live inside your team's territory, a DAZN team pass is now the simplest way to stream its local games, and the NBA price is the same for most teams. Budget for the national games separately. If you're travelling inside the US, you have 30 days.
If you're abroad or out of market, skip DAZN and buy the league's own pass for where you are; it's the option the rules actually allow, and outside the US and Canada the NBA's blackouts don't apply.
